(AIRS PH-3300.2750) Programs that provide assistance in the form of labor and supplies for people with disabilities who need to install ramps, elevators, stair glides or lifts; widen doorways; install grab bars in showers and bathrooms; lower kitchen and other cabinets; or make other modifications in their homes or apartments to make them accessible. Open to Box Elder residents that are living in over crowded conditions, substandard housing or can't afford paying rent. Welcomes all volunteers.

Services Provided:

Habitat for Humanity is a long-term program that builds new and renovates existing homes with the help of volunteers, donated goods, services, and the sweat equity of participants. Participants are sold the home at/below market value, with no-interest mortgage. The mortgage payments are used to build new homes for future qualifying families. Services Provided:

Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple houses, including critical home repair, with the help of the homeowner families. Habitat homes are modest and affordable through being built largely by volunteers and the families themselves and are sold at no-profit with a no-interest mortgage.

The HEAT Program provides year-round energy assistance and energy related crisis assistance for eligible low-income households throughout Utah. The program runs each year from October 1 through September 30.A one-time benefit is provided per year per household, up to two utility accounts. Administers the Utility Moratorium Program to prevent winter utility shut-off between November 15 and March 15 of each winter.
