Programs that provide opportunities for people of all ages with functional or cognitive disabilities to learn, become competitive in and enjoy a wide variety of recreational activities and sports, many of which are played in wheelchairs or have otherwise been modified to accommodate the athletes' disabilities. Participants are hosted at a local lake, supplied with a fishing rod and reel, t-shirt, hat, and tackle box, partnered with an experienced volunteer angler and escorted onto a boat where, with the supervision of a parent or guardian, they are shown proper fishing techniques and receive natural resources education. Participants and volunteers all then return from their morning fishing excursion to a BBQ lunch and an awards ceremony.

Services Provided: Developmental Skills Labratory (DSL) DSL provides services to youth and adults with developmental disabilities living in Cache Valley (Utah) and southern Idaho. 1. Day Training Services - Day training consists of various programs in which people with disabilities are assisted in reaching their highest level of independence. Our main focus is to enhance the personal and social development of each consumer.
2. Basic Skills Group - Provides training in basic communication and socialization, self-care, mobility, positioning and motor skills, community integration, leisure activities, independent living, and group activities.
3. Employment Services - These services help enhance the quality of life for consumers by promoting inclusion into the community work force. At our |Employment Center| we help consumers reach their vocational goals through appropriate assessment, skill training, job preparation, job search and placement, and on-the-job supports.
4. Family Support - Family Support Services provide support, information, and guidance to our customers and their families.
5. Respite Services - Caring for a person with a disability can be quite demanding. Respite services provide opportunities for family members to leave their loved ones in the care of responsible, dependable staff while they enjoy well-deserved time off.
6. Summer Program - Summer Program Services provide enjoyable summer activities for youth with disabilities. The program begins in June and goes through part of August (10 weeks). Programming is mainly community-based with some in-house activities.

Services Provided: TRAILS is an adaptive sports program that includes: adaptive recreation opportunities; spinal cord injury forum and wellness programs; virtual outreach (web-based and telemedicine/telehealth links); advocacy; peer support; and social activities. A member of the Paralympic Sport Club network.
Recreation programs: indoor spinning, hand cycling, kayaking, sailing, target shooting, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, swimming, and wheelchair tennis. TRAILS is designed to prepare individuals of all ability levels to engage in active living through recreational experiences.
