Ski and summer programs for children and adults with special needs. Programs offered include; ski lessons, snowshoe tours and sledge hockey throughout the winter, and numerous outdoor recreational activities such as hiking on barrier-free trails, fishing, biking, tram rides and environmental awareness programs in the summer.

Children and youth ages 3-18

Family program for children and youth with special needs, providing physical activities in a fun, noncompetitive atmosphere. By working alongside skilled volunteers, the program builds friendships, increases self-esteem, improves motor skills and physical fitness while having fun in a nurturing environment. The key to the success of the U-Fit Program is family involvement. Activities include Aquatics, Art, Dance, Gym.

Friday evenings 6-8 pm in West HPER Building (West 116) and in the swimming pool at the University of Utah

Must have a diagnosed intellectual disability. Additional disabilities will not limit a person’s qualification to participate. Programs are offered to adults 18 years and older.

RAH strives to make life better for individuals with intellectual disabilities as well as the families that support them. Provides educational and life skill classes, social recreational programs, community involvement, respite for families, and structured day services. Services are currently available for individuals age 18 and older.

All people of all ages who experience a physical, sensory, cognitive or mental disability are invited to participate in center activities. Eligibility for some opportunities is based on economic need.

A non-residential center for independent living designed for people of all ages and disabilities. Controlling one's life and minimizing dependence on others are essential for independent living. All services are demand-driven through the consumer requesting the service. Provides services to individuals with disabilities to facilitate their full participation in the community and raise the understanding of disability issues and access to the community. Five core services and additional support programs/services are provided depending on the needs of the individual with the disability. Offer programs for most age ranges.

Offers recreational programs for people with physical and intellectual disabilities. Physical disability programs teach the basics of many Paralympic style sports including: rugby, basketball, boccia, goalball, archery, swimming and many others. Intellectual disability programs focus on social skill develop, along with Special Olympic style sports and include: basketball, soccer, swimming, bowling, and many others.

Resident of Salt Lake County; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Fairmont Aquatic Center located in the heart of Sugar House provides swim lessons, water aerobics, adult swim team, cycling, turbo kick, and other fitness activities. Otters Swim Club for youth with autism spectrum disorder or intellectual disabilities, ages 5-18.

Adaptive sports and aquatics. Adult and youth fitness including aquatics and classes/camps.
