Children with Tourette Syndrome and their families

Provides support and health/disability related support groups to individuals and families affected by Tourette Syndrome. Serves as a resource for individuals who have Tourette Syndrome and their families. Tourette syndrome is a neurodevelopmental disorder evident in early childhood or adolescence characterized by motor and vocal tics. Co-occurring conditions are Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). The Salt Lake City Tic Clinic is located at the University of Utah. The Utah Autism Initiative (UAI) committee is a state inter-agency advisory panel of experts in the field of ASD-related research and treatment. UAI is formed solely to benefit the citizens of Utah affected by or having an interest in ASD.

Through the Autism Systems Development Program, the CSHCN Bureau provides leadership that brings together many of the agencies and advocates who influence the statewide system of services for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families.

The program has four components: Utah Autism Initiative (UAI), Utah Registry of Autism and Developmental Disabilities (URADD), Data System Integration, and ASD Resource Management. The ASDP:
- Refers individuals with ASD to services for evaluation and treatment
- Refers to care coordination programs
- Updates ASD diagnostic providers list
- Updates ASD treatment resources list
- Expands previously conducted ASD services survey to assess service needs and identify
barriers for care across Utah
