Children's Hearing Aid Program serves children 0-5 years old. Children ages 6+ may apply for the Hearing Aid Recycling Program. Qualifying children must:

• be a resident of Utah
• be diagnosed as having hearing loss by an audiologist
• provide documentation from an audiologist with pediatric expertise certifying that he/she needs hearing aids
• be ineligible to receive a hearing aid through the state’s Medicaid program
• not have insurance coverage for hearing aids
• meet the financial need qualification criteria established by the department for participation

Provides access to hearing aids for financially eligible families. Accepts donations of used hearing aids and unused batteries.

Children and adults with speech and language disorders. Open to the community.

Provides services to help communication disorders including (but not limited to): aural rehabilitation, stuttering, cluttering, cleft palate, autism, and voice disorders, speech sound disorders such as apraxia and articulation deficits, language impairment and social communication disorders. Hosted by the Department of Communication Disorders.

Complete a clinic intake form and mail it to address on website. Expect some wait time. Enrollment in the clinic occurs three times per year, at the beginnings of fall and winter semesters and spring term.

Kids Who Count serves children from birth to age 3 in the Nebo School District boundaries. Kids Who Count is part of the Utah Department of Health Baby Watch Early Intervention Program. Provides testing of children's current health and development for eligibility of early intervention services.

Provides consult, resource, and direct education services to children who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, visually impaired, or deaf-blind from birth to age 22. Services include special education, intermediate sign language instruction, hearing aids and braille and tactile aids. Also has audiological evaluations and beginner and developmental assessment for infants and toddlers, ages three to birth to three with a developmental delay or disability. Responsible for certifying and regulating American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters for the state of Utah.  Maintains an Interpreter Directory of all certified interpreters who are authorized to work.
