Comprehensive child development program designed to meet the educational, emotional, social, and health needs of children and families in the Carbon, Emery, Grand, Piute, San Juan, Wayne, Uintah and Sevier counties. The program focuses on teaching children social competence to increase their success in their present environment and later experiences and responsibilities in school.

Pregnant mothers and families with children birth to 5. Children must be 3 years old by Sept 1st to be eligible for Head Start services.Income guidelines apply.

Head Start preschool programs serve 3- and 4-year old children. The program focuses on early learning, health and family well-being to support school readiness. Services can be provided in the home environment or in a preschool setting.
