Provides state of the art pediatric orthopedic care for a wide range of diseases and disorders of the bones, muscles, and joints. Services include inpatient and outpatient, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, custom wheelchairs, prosthetics and orthotics, outpatient clinics, and movement analysis.

Eligibility: Available to teens patients of Shriners Hospitals living with limp loss or deficiency.
Services Provided:

Provides an opportunity for teens to gain confidence and form strong bonds with other amputees while learning either adaptive skiing and snowboarding or whitewater river rafting and camping. No cost to participate. Summer camp is offered annually in Late June or early July. Winter camp is offered annually in February. Registration is due by September 1, to be considered for either camp in the following year.

This clinic offers one-stop care of skeletal dysplasia with physicians from ENT, neurosurgery, pediatrics, neurology, radiology, genetics, orthopaedics, EOS radiology, seating experts, PT/OT and prosthetics orthotics.

Services Provided: Weekly clubfoot clinics. the Utah Clubfoot Clinic specializes in the treatment of clubfoot using the non-surgical Ponseti serial casting method. A multispecialty clinic, Shriners Pediatric Orthotics and Prosthetic Services department is also available to help with any bracing needs following the completion of the casting sequence. Our specialists also collaborate to provide care for children with related conditions, such as developmental dysplasia of the hip, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, arthrogryposis, and other complex issues.

Serves children greater-than-toddler-size kids, with poor head control, or significant neuromuscular disease. New patients up to age 18. Continuing patients to age 21. Services Provided: A specialty clinic staffed by seating and therapy specialists held two Fridays each month. Specialty trained and certified car seat staff and a pediatrician will assess your child's car seat needs. will assess the needs of each patient. Families are educated on proper car seat usage specific to needs and each seat is custom fit to ensure proper vehicle installation.

An in-house custom seating clinic available to all patients with seating needs. May receive both manual and power chairs.

Services Include:

  • Comprehensive pediatric seating and positioning assessments
  • Customized wheelchairs to optimize mobility development
  • Preventative maintenance and growth for manual and power chairs
  • Loan Library allows patients to reserve and borrow equipment for up to two weeks.  Equipment includes:
    • segway motorized scooters
    • child-sized bucket seats to attach to a wheelchair,
    • beach chair/strollers that is easily transported and assembled,
    • jogging strollers,
    • freewheel wheelchair attachments for curbs, dirt trails, grass, gravel, snow, and sand.
