IRS-certified volunteers prepare and electronically file tax returns during the general tax season. No income limit and can prepare returns for Schedule C, business, rental property, and stock transactions. The Tax Clinic for 2021 tax returns start January 22, 2022 and will be open until April 18, 2022.COVID-19 UPDATE: Walk-ins are not allowed at this time, however this can change. Phone lines are not manned, however calls will be returned and may take up to a week for those who may not have internet access.

• VITA Programs

Free for Salt Lake County residents who live in homes, apartments, or mobile homes built before 1978, pregnant women, or children under the age of six who live in or visit the residence, and whose household income is at or below qualifying income levels.

Salt Lake County administers grant funds from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to homeowners, renters, and landlords to control or remove lead paint hazards in housing built before 1978. Provides coordinated services for children and their families during the investigative process of child abuse reports.
