Eligibility: Uninsured children, adolescents, adults. Individuals and families at or below 150% of federal poverty guidelines, and who are not eligible for Medicare, Medicaid, or homeless services. Must have no insurance to qualify for services. Greater Salt Lake area.
Services Provided: Provides free medical, pediatric care, assistance in obtaining medications, childhood immunizations, IBS, x-ray, ultrasound, mammogram screening, and a diabetes clinic, to improve the quality of life for uninsured families in the Greater Salt Lake area.

Medical Providers - Licensed medical provider (MD, DO, DDS, NP, PA, PT, LCSW, or other equivalent) contact the volunteer coordinator directly to discuss volunteer opportunities. Patient Techs - Medical Assistant, EMT, CNA or hold an equivalent certification, can volunteer as a patient tech here at the clinic. Patient techs will have various opportunities including taking vital signs and preparing the patient to for their visit with medical provider. Interpreters - About 50% of Maliheh's patients speak Spanish as a first language. Those fluent in both Spanish and English can volunteer as a medical interpreter helping patient techs, nurses, and medical providers to communicate with their patients. Volunteers must be proficient in general Spanish, though not necessarily with medical vocabulary. Study materials will be provided to help learn common medical terminology in Spanish and English, and receive training in how to be a medical interpreter.
