Eligibility: At-risk students who are referred to program by principals, law enforcement, etc.
Services Provided:

The F.A.C.T. initiative provides flexible, comprehensive, preventive services to families with children at risk of failing in school, and/or at risk of abuse and neglect. The program involves the Departments of Human Services, Health, Public Education, and the Juvenile Courts. The new Department of Workforce Services will also be involved.
1. Advocacy on behalf of students.
2. Assistance in helping students comply with court mandates.
3. Case worker for family support
4. Case worker for Medicaid, food stamps, AFDC, etc.
5. Health check-ups and referrals to medical services
6. Individual and family counsel.
7. Referrals to legal, job, and community services.
8. Severe and Habitual Offenders Comprehensive Action Program (SHOCAP).
9. Social skills classes.
10. Some financial assistance.
11. Tutoring.
