Helps increase the financial stability of low-to-moderate income households through obtaining a livable wage, learning basic financial principles, and connecting clients with other helpful and appropriate community resources, agencies, and asset-building programs. Provides individual employment and financial stability coaching to help with increasing household income opportunities and organizing financial matters. Assists with birth certificate and ID card fee payments, ex-offender reentry programs, resume preparation, computer literacy, and small business development. When available, offers free, year-round VITA tax assistance program to help with traditional tax filing up to three years past. A confidential survey, conducted by a 211 specialist, to help determine whether families are eligible for important tax credits, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and/or Child Tax Credit (CTC).
