Provides direct guardianship, conservator, and trust services to individuals who have been deemed by a court of law to be incapacitated, incompetent, or legally disabled. GAU contracts directly with the Office of Public Guardian in the State of Utah to provide services to individuals.COVID-19 UPDATE: Following all CDC and state guidelines.

• Guardianship Assistance

Direct guardianship services limited to incapacitated persons with no one to serve as guardians. Priority is given to persons in life threatening situations such as abuse, neglect, self-neglect, exploitation, or those at significant risk of such problems.

Provides public guardianship and conservatorship services (appointed by the court) to incapacitated adults without family members or friends to serve as their guardians. Any competent adult can be appointed as a guardian. Services provided directly and contractually. Guardianship services for people with developmental disabilities may be provided through contracts with private guardianship agencies.

A 10 week support, education , and resource program designed to help caregivers and children navigate the unique challenges that come with being in a kinship family. This includes guardianship application assistance, targeted case management, short term therapy, and links to community resources in addition to the 10 week support and education group for caregivers and kinship children.

NGA believes that those appointed to the care of guardians, conservators, and fiduciaries deserve quality services and that every person should be provided respect, due process, rights, and dignity in guardianship. NGA represents more than 1000 guardians, conservators, and fiduciaries from across the United States. Offers webinars, self study courses, and an annual national conference on guardianship.
