Dixie State College sponsors several types of learning assistance services that benefit many Dixie State students. Tutoring is one of the most widely used of these services. All registered, degree-seeking Dixie State College students have access to some form of tutoring. A tutor can assist you in clarifying concepts and class material, and in improving your study skills. It's FREE for all registered Dixie State students! The Tutoring Center is located in the Browning Resource Center (downstairs from Testing Center).

Focused Tutoring provides
• free, one-to-one and small group tutoring to enrolled SLCC students
• On-going, weekly appointments with the same tutor throughout the semester
• Referrals to other tutoring and learning services as well as study skills programs on campus
Students in the program make a commitment to meet at least once a week throughout the semester with their assigned tutor.

SRCLP Clinics accept preschool children who have difficulty speaking or understanding the spoken word or school-age children who have difficulty learning to read. 

Inquiries on age groups and program offerings in specific areas should be addressed to the director of the local Scottish Rite facility. 

Provides programs to help children with speech and language disorders. Each facility is staffed by speech-language pathologists or other trained personnel. All services are available regardless of race, creed, or the family’s inability to pay.
