Biosketch:

Dr. Al-Hamad received her medical degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology in Irbid, Jordan. She completed her Pediatric residency at the Michigan State University and her Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Hospital. Dr. Al-Hamad is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes at the University of Utah. She is board certified in General Pediatrics and is board eligible for subspecialty certification in Pediatric Endocrinology.

Dr. Al-Hamad’s clinical interests include growth and puberty disorders, thyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, and type 1 diabetes. Her research experience has included childhood obesity and metabolic syndrome and assessing clinical practice guidelines in screening for Type 1 diabetes co-morbidities.
