Kayla graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami in 2014 with her bachelor’s degree in music therapy and psychology. She competed her Master’s Degree in Music Therapy with an emphasis in counseling from Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods College in 2018 and conducted research on music therapy’s impact on families of patients receiving pediatric palliative care.

Kayla has served a variety of populations including pediatrics, special needs, hospice, substance abuse, and behavioral health. Kayla has been working in the pediatric hospital setting since 2015 and serves as an internship supervisor, training music therapy students. Kayla has competed specialized training in Hospice & Palliative Care Music Therapy, Neurologic Music Therapy, and the Bonny Method of GIM Level 1.


Kayla currently serves on the Neuro-Trauma Unit, Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, specializing in physical traumas and rehabilitation.
